Starting the year with Christ

I started this new year by attending mass in the early afternoon of January 1st. Parties on New Year's Eve are fun, but what better way is there to truly celebrate than with Christ? The perfect way to start the new year is to ask for forgiveness for last year's sins and strive to be better this year. No doubt none of us will be perfect, but God does not ask for perfection. Instead, he asks us to grow as we go. God sees us not as we are but as we can be. May we all make strides this year toward becoming the version of ourselves that God created us to be.
