Bible in a Year Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

Many Catholics have listened to the Bible in a Year podcast, where Fr. Mike and Jeff Cavins walked with Catholics and non-believers from Genesis to Revelation and everything in between.

First launched in 2021, the podcast wasted little time finding its way to the top of the download charts for podcasts. At the time of its launch, Fr. Mike and Jeff Cavins had “no clue what was in store”.

The podcast has nearly 1 billion downloads as of 2026. It has been available in 150 countries. It has been an inspiration for many to return to the Catholic Church or even consider joining the one holy, Catholic, and apostolic church. It continues to be the No. 1 religious podcast in the world.

The Bible in a Year walks readers or listeners through the bible throughout the year. It takes a chapter from a book of the Old Testament, New Testament, or even a psalm or proverb. Fr. Mike then offers insight on the themes and images from those verses while conveying a heartfelt message to many.

Rejoice! The Bible in a Year has been a game-changer. While Fr. Mike and Ascension would take all of the credit, it is God who made this possible.

Here’s to a billion more. Without a doubt, many more hearts will change and come to know Christ.
