God's blessings on this new year!
When I was younger, I didn't think so positively. The world was in chaos with the Vietnam war and political leaders were proving to be heartless and meaningless with the value of life. Sending young men into jungles of fear, without really a true purpose except for killing. All in the name of freedom. But I just couldn't see the freedom in the faces of the families that were being murdered or the families that these young boys would come home to in boxes. Many, against their own will. Time dragging on with no sense of ending. Some maimed. Making the reality of their once life at home, tainted by trial. Forcing them to learn how to live a new way without an arm or a leg. That whole era, to me, was tainted by negativity. It didn't present too much hope. As a young girl, seeing all of this, I was against our Government with true despot. Thinking that our leaders weren't taking care of us or our American Homeland or our American Life. Negativity can settle in and unless maturity or change in circumstances, it's hard to see the good. Thankfully, I had a home life that preserved a great amount of positivity. Just enough, to keep it buried in my heart. Without that solid foundation that my parents taught us, I really don't know where I would be today. They taught us the "positivity of our faith". That there is always Hope in God. He is bigger than any war or misfortune that would ever befall us.
Through the years, I have had my moments of negativity, but then the bright light of positivity breaks through, owing it all to prayer and trust and surrender. Just the way my mom and dad taught us. I am grateful.
The world wants us to believe it's hopeless. To believe that there is no God. I refuse to believe this way. Teaching our children and grandchildren that there is a God who truly loves us and believing in positivity, makes the impossible possible.
When you feel yourself sinking into those dark crevices in your mind of negativity, put up that white flag, the SOS, and God will rescue you from the war that wages negativity. He will turn your mourning into dancing. Your tears into joy. Your longing into contentment. Because He is the King of Positivity. In Him, there is Peace. Where all negativity is erased. And Hope is restored.
