We all live with old wives tales and warnings that grandma used to keep us on the straight and narrow.  Reading the Book of Proverbs we find that some form of wise sayings were always used as a way to suggestively keep people from being challenged by simple mistakes that could otherwise trip them up.  As it was once considered a “Book of Wisdom.”

What we need today are some of these Aphorisms that lead us away from dangerous situations or at least make us aware of what were warnings we call Old Wives Tales that came from wise people that already encountered the same endeavors.  The difference in today’s uneasy and dare-devil attitudes where guns and other weapons have become the rule of authority in the wrong hands is now the misunderstanding of grandma’s suggestions.  

“Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and reject not your mother’s teaching; A graceful diadem will be for your head: a torque for your neck.  My son, should sinners entice you, and say, “Come along with us!  Let us lie in wait for the honest man, let us, unprovoked, set a trap for the innocent; Let us swallow them up, as the nether world does, alive, in the prime of life, like those who go down to the pit! “  (Prv 1: 8 - 12).  A similar admonition that is occurring daily in our local community, the country we live in is as a United Nation, and nearly every nation across the globe.

What did you see or hear about on today’s news?  Whose child has become another victim because of an evil confrontation that put them in harm's way and unless you were blessed by God’s intervention avoided the news of your child being murdered. 

There is no longer a sanctified land where people respect one another and too many are willing to adhere to the news that is going on in several major cities across our nation.  I know some of the politics that appear to be taking over a country that once worked for its constituents, their needs and rules that do not discriminate because of a power structure instead of the rights of its people.

For perverse counsels separate a man from God, and his power, put to the proof, rebukes the foolhardy; because into a soul that plots evil wisdom enters not, nor dwells she in a body under debt of sin.  For the spirit of the Lord fills the world, is all-embracing , and knows what man says.  Therefore no one who utters wicked things can go unnoticed, nor will chastising condemnation pass him by.  It was the wicked who with hands and words invited death, considered it a friend and pined for it, and made a covenant with it, because they deserve to be in its possession.  (Wis 1: 3 - 4, 7 - 8, 16).

If we thought 2025 and several years before were evil promotions of deadly actions being taken over by those who seek our destruction; look again and see that 2026 is the takeover of such evil that will know no time worse that what is growing, young people’s thoughts of glory that will fit into a cauldron of demonic adversity that no one will be able to stop.  If the Church was ever more in need of grace it is now and the battle between goodness and evil is at its crescent of the heavenly host; Jesus Christ; we must do all possible to entrust the angelic power with Chrisrt to begin the Parousia as soon as God calls out the Angel Michael and let the presence of Goodness begin its battle cry.
