August 2025 Feast Day and Sunday Readings
As ICE continues to crack down on illegal immigrants living in the United States without authorized citizenship, there has already been a death reported in the Twin Cities.
On Wednesday, Rene Good was gunned down by an ICE agent as she allegedly attempted to run him over. It caused hysteria worldwide and even nationwide protests in every major city.
Evidence has surfaced indicating the agent acted in self-defense. What is more disturbing is what Good was doing leading up to these paid demonstrations.
Good, 37, was a mother of three children and a widow but was involved in a same sex union. Additionally, Good got involved with ICE Watch, an organization that aims to monitor, track, interfere and oppose ongoing federal immigration enforcement operations. The group is present in multiple sanctuary cities across the country.
What Good’s death is teaching us is a tale of caution. Good leaves behind three young children as she didn’t place motherhood as a top priority when engaging in a group that is organized to stop law and order. In her private life, rumors have circulated that her domestic partner is being investigated for child abuse, as Good’s children have marks from cigarettes visible on their skin.
Good even took classes and watched videos of how to disrupt ICE, and the years of indoctrination have led to a slow suicide. Yes, she was killed by a federal agent. However, she had every intention of being a target for a bad cause.
As her family mourns her loss, let us take a look at our own priorities, pray for her soul, and cooperate with law enforcement.
Civil unrest continues to ravage the nation as those blindly continue to defy the law with potentially putting their lives at risk. Pray for them.
Come Lord Jesus.
