Man needs rest

So, in case people forgot that I'm Catholic, I want to talk about Heart.
Okay, maybe I should repeat that, I want to talk about Jesus's heart.
Admittedly, I think that a lot of people might read my articles and forget that I'm Catholic (in spite of articles like this, An overlooked passage on baptismal regeneration and infant baptism, this, The sacrificial language of the Lord's Supper, this,Paul's Eucharistic Theology, this, Something the Bible doesn't teach, and this Confession is biblical ).
Well, I am Catholic, and I think even some Protestants could say the phrase “Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us”.
You know why? Because Protestants know that Jesus loves them.
Finding out that some one is hiding as serious as a marriage from you (see here, Emotional infidelity and the culpability of sin, A good wife is the crown of her husband and here, l, ironically, I wrote this article, an article I know she has read, while hiding a marriage from me, Don't denigrate marriage, same with this one, What to look for in a wife or husband, I don't know if she read this, but, it was written before I found out that she was hiding a marriage from me,DON'T COVET! , you start to see things a little differently.
But, during the period of intense self-reflection, I've come to know something; Jesus loves you.
If only you knew how much love God has for you!
Oh sure, we have pictures and prayers that talk about the Sacred Heart, but, how many of us actually think about it?
I went through an intense period of self-discovery for 2025, and I came to some very important conclusions.
People lie.
People you love lie.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that is no lie (I've touched on this before, see the article, here; Truth matters.)
Why does this matter?
Because in a world of frauds, scams, and impostors, God's love is still real.
I'll leave you with some verses that Jesus himself said about the heart or love. (Keep in mind that Greek has different words for different types of love, Four types of love)
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8)
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will rest for your souls”. (Matthew 11:29, which I've written about this passage, not just this verse, for some reason, I can't find the article).
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, and I wrote about this, here, For God so loved the world)
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love on another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another”. (John 13:34-35).
