The prodigal

     I'm not labeling gender because we all know female and male prodigal children. They are the ones who are searching, whether they know it or not. They are special, to me, in God's eyes, because they need sincere and constant prayer. Mothers, Father's, friends, siblings, are always in earnest prayer for that loved one to return. Asking for God's constant watch on them till they come home. Home to the loving arms of God's sweet Mercy. Home, before it's too late. 

     The Prodigal can gain much Wisdom while they are on their far away journey. It is only in our impatience that "we" suffer, because of our desire to have them safe. Also missing them deeply. So, if we feel these emotions, imagine what our Lord feels.. He doesn't want any one of His lambs to stray. The Good Shepherd is in constant motion. Searching for that prodigal heart who has been lost in the confusion of the noise of this world. Our prayers, daily, helps the Prodigal be able to hear the voice of God. Haven't you ever noticed, that many return after a traumatic experience? Them thinking it was traumatic, when it was just our merciful God speaking.

     St Anthony of Egypt says, "if the soul surrenders itself to the Lord with all of its might, the righteous God will grant it true repentance". 

     Pray for all the Prodigal children in this world. Ask God to show them the way back home. They are lost, waiting to be found. 

     In thy Merciful Grace oh God, find them, and lead them home.
