A step closer to heaven
We've all seen them. We've all heard about them. They are the ones who sat by the cradle. Who spent sleepless nights in prayer for their souls. They are the ones who tirelessly cooked and cleaned and made sure that their souls and minds were taught about God and the respect all of us must give to God. They are the ones whose hearts broke many times from words of rebellion in their growth to become adults, but still continue to love. They are the ones who cried at seeing someone else take their heart in love and willingly trusted that out of that love their care would suffice.
They are the Mothers. The ones who labored fearlessly in a room to give them life, only to recall the phenomenon that they only remember the joy that entered into the room that day.
They are the Mothers. The ones who are called to surrender them when all earthly hope is gone. Entrusting them into the care of their new Mother and Father that will watch over them in heaven.
All women are mothers. You do not have to actually bear children to be one. That in itself, is a great phenomenon. God in His most just Majesty has designed and designated us women with a great gift. A mother's heart. The great mystery and fact of the maternal bond between mother and child is called "microchimerism". This happens when a woman does actually bear a child. It is where fetal cells persist in the mother's body long after childbirth. These maternal cells pass over to the fetus. These fetal cells develop in the fetus and cross the placenta and enter into the mother's bloodstream, embeddng themselves in her tissue and organs. These fetal cells can persist for decades, becoming a permanent part of the mother's biological makeup. It doesn't stop there! Maternal cells can also travel to the fetus. Therefore connecting mother and child forever! We must understand then the connection between us and our Heavenly Mother, Mary. She is our Mother, so in this fact, the phenomenon has carried on to us. Praise to our beloved Mother Mary! She is our God-given Mother! We are never, ever without that maternal care! Our earthly mothers work together with the Mother of God, thus making our protection even greater. No one, no one! is without a mother! Because Mary is there to take the reins! Her life dwells within each of us and as always a good mother does, helps us in everything we ask when we allow Her to be our mother.
God bless the mothers of mothers of mothers. Our legacy as women is undeniably phenomenal! All the mothers of Saints and Martyrs take backseat to the incredibility of great and noted people. All of the extraordinary people in History had mothers. Whereas you know, they would never have existed.
All women can be mothers. Remember, you don't have to physically give birth to be one. For God has implanted in all women, maternal desire and the DNA of the greatest Mother of all, the chromosomes of His son Jesus and the love of the Mother who bore Him.
