Adherence to the Divinity of the Most Holy Trinity
Faith in Crisis
Will not God then secure the right of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (Lk 18: 7 - 8).
What is the current status of people who still have some faith? How about those of tomorrow (literally tomorrow)? Are we able to discern if there will be any faith of the many who are being coerced into the ways of Communism? They are closer than anyone can imagine.
If we could just for a moment consider what type of world all of us are living in with so much upheaval and anarchy that is going on all around us and there is no end in sight to the turning away from God and his Church.
Who is there that has a crystal ball or an inside connection to the divine that will be able to address the painstaking future that is surely right before our eyes? When speaking of a crisis in any subject matter we are predicting a complete falling away from what we always thought was solid in its existence. But faith? that shouldn’t become a crisis since it isn’t a substantial item that we can pick up or paint an image of in order to grasp.
However, here we are, Christians who have diligently followed the truth laid out for us by Christ since his Crucifixion/Resurrection/Ascension event with a promise of; “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age?” (Mt 28: 20).
Sacred Scripture in both the Old Testament and the New Testament have revealed for us promises that we need to open and read before we throw in the towel.
Then he led me to the gate which faces the east, and there I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. Then I heard someone speaking to me from the temple, while the man stood beside me. The voice said to me: Son of man, this where my throne shall be, this is where I will set the soles of my feet; here I will dwell among the Israelites forever. Never again shall they and and their kings profane my holy name with their harlotries and with the corpses of their kings. (Ez 43: 1, 6 - 7).
As the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall endure before me, says the Lord, so shall your race and your name endure. All mankind shall come to worship before me, says the Lord. They shall go out and see the corpses of the men who rebelled against me. Their worm shall not die, nor their fire be extinguished; and they all shall be abhorrent to all mankind. (Is 66: 22, 23b - 24).
Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. She has become a haunt for every unclean spirit, a cage for every unclean bird, a cage for every unclean and disgusting beast. For all the nations have drunk the wine of her licentious passion. The kings of the earth had intercourse with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her drive for luxury.” (Rv 18: 2 - 30).
“Alleluia! Salvation, glory, and might belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her harlotry. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.” “Alleluia! The Lord has established his reign, our God, the almighty. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory. For the wedding day of the Lamb has come, his bride has made herself ready. She was allowed to wear a bright, clean linen garment. (The linen represents the righteous deeds of the holy ones). (Rv 19: 1 - 2, 6b - 8).
It isn’t what we might look to for immediate relief but, the perfection of our justification is closer than any of us may anticipate and our eternal home is but a short trajectory away.
