War and Rumors of War – Part 2

Since writing part 1 a few months ago, other hot spots have begun to erupt around the world. Let's start with today's news. NORAD launched five jets to intercept Russian planes flying near Alaska. This incidence along with other similar incidences have seemed to increase ever since President Trump met with President Putin of Russia in Alaska. I pray that our nation stays safe with the possible spying that could be happening.

Another hot spot is the orient where the People's Republic of China is trying to gain control of Taiwan. Thankfully, the United States has a great ally, Japan, in that region. Japan is increasing their military budget for many reasons. Primarily, Japan would like to be safe in that region. It must also be prepared to help Taiwan keep its independence. Added to that, the Philippine Islands must also be protected from Communist Chinese aggression. Japan must also protect herself from the Russian and Communist Chinese proxy, namely North Korea. Japan has a huge job ahead, and I wish the new Japanese leader the best of luck and great success in all of these endeavors.

And now, we travel to the Middle East, while talks with Iran are yielding very little to no success. The military buildup in the Arabian Sea along with the other assets being sent to the Mediterranean Sea are definite signs of a military operation that is about to begin. On one side we have modern day Persia. On the other side we have the United States and Israel. I will explain the biblical identities of the United States and Israel in a future article, 'An Old Geography Lesson'.

If the United States should perform an attack on Iran, Iran may counter with an attack on both the United States and Israel by firing missiles at them or giving their proxies in the area the power to create mayhem. Keep in mind also that if the United States happens to bomb their fissionable nuclear material, it would be quite devastating to the surrounding area. That bombing, the underground oil, and the resulting nuclear explosion might actually create the lake of fire as revealed in the Book of Revelation.

So what are we to do as these worldly events begin to unfold in the Middle East? We are to constantly watch and pray that we may be found worthy to stand before the Throne of God. Never give up hope and have faith in the Divine Mercy of God.
