St Francis of Rome
Each Season has its purpose. Each Season has its ups and downs. Not one of them comes or goes without the Hope of the next to arrive.
Summer with its sweltering heat turns into the cold ice of Winter. Fall brings colors into the leaves and prepares us for that bitter cold. Spring slides gently to our bones with the newness of sweet smelling flowers and the Easter of our souls.
That is, to me, the way the Seasons of our Life occur.
The Spring of our birth. The Summer of our teens. The Fall of our mid-years and the Winter of our old age. Each Season is a stepping stone. Each filled with a little more Wisdom than the last. Each leading us to our goal of attaining Heaven. The trips and falls that each Season produces are our map to our destiny. With each Season comes pruning and weeding and watering. Out of those things that prevent us from journeying on to the next. The Wisdom that is brought to us and by our answer, sometimes comes through the biggest, hardest struggles that release us to the fragrant scents of the Spring that we will live in Heaven.
