Aging And Longevity
The Deeper our Love becomes in Christ,
The More we feel Him in Us, as We are in Him
Eileen Renders
Jesus has told us, “I AM in you as you are in Me.” It is a beautiful promise and exchange of love. But what does that mean exactly? How do we arrive at that moment? We can only imagine Jesus’ great love for us when He allowed Himself to be literally nailed to a heavy Cross, after being tortured and humiliated. He did this without resistance because He wanted to save us from sin and being cast into hell for all eternity. He created us out of love and to be with Him.
How will we be able then, to recognize when we have reached that state of unification with Christ, knowing the comfort and joy that He is in us as we are in Him? For we cannot see Him, nor can we touch Him physically.
This is not, however, to be interpreted to mean that we will not feel His presence within us when our sincere love, loyalty, and appreciation for Him and His sacrifices have touched our hearts and changed our souls forever!
Feeling the presence of Christ within us is recognizable. We will be able to feel a greater sense of goodness in that our empathy, sense of charity, and understanding that we were all created equal, and are here to work for the good of each soul we encounter, to follow Jesus. And if or when we attain this inner sense that Christ lives within us, we know that there is nothing else we need.
God created us out of love and a desire to be with Him. God never leaves us; it is we who often stray. God is merciful, and as long as we live and breathe, we have an endless opportunity to be united with Him in this world, with an opportunity, if not an assurance, that we will be with Him in the next world for all eternity.
CAUTION: Let us not take His love and mercy for granted. For if we need to change our thoughts and soften our hearts, we are assured of “Only one day at a time,” for many leave this Earth at a tender young age. I pray we all use our time wisely.
