From where we are, the view of Heaven is closer than we thought!
As we live in a world of sin we must reach out to the Blood of Christ on our weaknesses:
Each day that our lives discover failures there must be an answer that will comfort our guilt. Guilt in itself can become a trend that reminds us that there is one person who awaits our turning around to accept the very flow of the blood of Christ that continues to touch the very sin that continues to absorb our faith; That person is Christ!
As we enter Holy Week we will be reminded of more than the Easter Triduum that so much grace may be found upon the individual sinner that opens up the true meaning of sacrifice.
While the soldiers nailed the hands and feet to this cross, and the Pharisees mocked his words of, “Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up.” (Jn 2: 19). His mother and John watched in horror as their son, friend, and our Savior was preparing for forgiveness that would last throughout human history.
Two thousand years have passed and the very need of mercy has never lost its strength for any of us whose weakness always places a block on our faith. As we work at believing in him who died for us let us not forget the grace that flowed into our hearts and his blood flowed as his presence will always reach into our needs.
There never is a moment where the essential needs for so many, and any special blessings are imminent for so many whose faith itself is being challenged. Through our special guardianship as your ministers (clergy and laypeople) we ask for a surge of grace for the many who need their faith receiving a touch of the Holy Spirit.
As we will be asked to avoid disbelief during these few days of Holiness let us be prepared to thank Christ for our redemption.
