Supernatural CPR: An Anamnestic View into the Meaning of Christ's Final Breath
The Friday We Call "Good"
AMJ Maranise, Obl.S.B.
All the faithful world silence keeping,
the only sounds of muffled weeping;
The God-Man broken, beaten, crucified,
offered His last breath for us and died;
Let all mortal flesh keep silent,
the King of all faced death most violent;
To the very end, His Father's will obeyed,
through gruesome torture, still He prayed;
Bore in Him the weight of all our sin,
Yet, by His death, did salvation win;
Oh Jesus, what have we done?,
To take from God His only Son;
And love us without price do You,
to love You, always, then we do;
Can we repay you by love for life?,
Your Mother's heart pieced as like a knife;
That You would do this for love of me,
So that Yours I shall ever be;
All Glory, praise to Christ the Son,
God in the Flesh, the Holy One;
