What Type of Savior can we expect from the Lord?
Signs of our youth standing for Christ: No end of our young people speaking for Righteousness.
March 26, 2026, last night, over 5,000 young students from the University of Pittsburgh gathered for praise of Christ, some were baptized, and all in attendance gave praise to God and joined in a type of revival that speaks endlessly to say we believe.
At 90 years I cannot remember such a blessed spectacle when I was that age, but perhaps we didn’t need such an outpouring of faith; but now looking at the increase of apostasy that has been going on for many years, undetected until now in the 2000 era of time, our thoughts may have changed. Could all of this modern rejection of Christ, the Church, and a look at New-age philosophies that have almost done away with biblical promises from Almighty God become a future that has arrived?
If nothing else the news of 5,000 Pitt students cheering for the very Son of God who was Incarnated to the son of Man stands as the closest essence of belief that is opening the very premise of eternal life for all those who have said, “yes, Christ is my Savior and has anointed my soul with a grace that at one time, just a few years ago, seemed to be only for old people.”
A lot of this grew out of the murder of Charlie Kirk who was just trying to promote a positive approach to righteousness by believing in the very essence that Jesus took to the Cross because of our sins. It doesn’t need a denomination to express what is happening, it is belief in the truth that Christ is.
A single warning must be addressed here; as wonderful as all this explosion has brought many back to praise Christ, we as Catholics still must hold fast to our sacraments and welcome the many new disciples from universities to the roots that most of them may have forgotten.
We applaud the turning around for the many university students who might have found what they lost by way of too much secular activities have now discovered what they thought was an old type of unnecessary worship. Through this new movement it is hoped that they will come back to the meaning of theological and Church Magisterium where 2,000 years of Tradition has put into motion the truth of the Resurrection-Ascension of the Living Christ which has not gone away as some ancient belief.
Perhaps in some way the many who have denied the Church in its Sacraments will now allow this turning around to bring them back to their Baptismal roots and find what we, in our 90’s, have been living through and expressing by our own beliefs the truth that we were reared with.
There exists in our modern society the evil that tells so many that we need to allow the young entity of humanity to set the standards of future living for everyone. Well, as we watch the many who are turning to Christ perhaps this in some spiritual manner, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, has opened a new sign that began eons ago with the prophets of God to the very existence of a parade of believers finding Christ, once again and returning back to the Church Christ gave us. As we watch new horizons of youthful Christians do not allow our basic beliefs to disappear. We as Roman Catholics still have an obligation to hold that the truth we have been raised with is still a Catechetical premise.
