Jesus mourned at Lazarus’ tomb. Why? He saw how every soul created; would suffer, sicken, die ...
The miracle was coming, bro’s corpse about to rise. Yet, Jesus wept to empathize. He wouldn’t skip the cries.
- He saw the sisters shaking, grief eating up their souls. He held their hurt that none could calm, or soothe, assuage, console …
- One grave became many, and suffering ageless, so many broken hearts; the sleepless nights and crash-out spirals, the storms we say we’re “fine” about.
And maybe that’s the point: God feels demonic strikes. He holds us through each big hot mess, then carries us to the light.
