The Truth really does set you free! No matter how one tries to get around it, the truth is always proved. Always coming forward eventually. I used to tell my little girls, to not even try to lie to me, because I have eyes in the back of my head. I think they honestly believed me, because I never really had a problem with them lying to me.
The Truth can make you feel free. It lifts the burden of the weight of the LIE. Realizing that the real story will come out, helps you just fess up and take the consequences for messing up. If it's black and white, what's the use of making up a story? I'll tell you why people don't tell the truth. It's fear. Fear of being found out. Fear of rejection. Fear of not fitting in. Just plain fear. Fear doesn't come from God. It comes from the evil one.
If you teach the children the "beautiful truth" early on, you have less risk of them lying in adulthood. Teaching them that being honest will always get their souls to Heaven. Because the greatest of parents, God, is always watching. Why would He say, "I am the way, the "Truth", and the life. He could have left out the word truth and be just as powerful with the other two words the "way and the life". But including the sentiment of Truth, it's solidifies the other two. Because if there is truth then there is definition. There is life. There is the way. Truth defines everything.
God is the "beautiful truth". He's real. He's honest. He is solid. Denying that He is anything but the truth leads to a lie. And believing in the Truth, that is where the beauty shall remain.
