Are you afraid of death?
It is common for all of us to question if the Bible is God's Word. Is God's Word true? Does God really exist? Am I just being fooled by some manmade religion that is based on a nonexistent God? I have to admit many of us, including myself, have struggled with those questions. After wrestling with these questions, here are three points I want to highlight that show why I believe the Bible is God's Word and it is the guiding light for my life and it should be for yours as well:
1. Scripture is God’s guide for life
The Bible isn’t just a book—it’s God’s Word. It teaches us truth, corrects our mistakes, and shows us the way to live with integrity and purpose. When we turn to Scripture, we have a reliable guide for every situation, big or small.
2. Faith in God’s Word builds confidence
It’s normal to have doubts. Early in life, I wondered if the Bible was truly from God. But one night, I prayed, opened the Bible, and said, “I may not understand everything, but I trust this Book as Your Word.” That simple act of faith changed everything. From that moment, I’ve had no doubt that I can rely on God’s Word.
3. God’s Word is a solid foundation
Life is full of decisions, challenges, and relationships that can feel overwhelming. When we base our lives on Scripture, we’re not swayed by human opinions or fleeting trends. Instead, we stand on God’s unchanging truth, giving our faith, choices, and actions a strong, lasting foundation.
The takeaway we all must see is that we are all responsible for letting God’s Word guide our steps, strengthen our confidence, and shape our life. Ask Him to help you trust it fully, so every decision, challenge, and relationship can be grounded in His wisdom and truth.
It's not earth shattering. It's not fancy. It's not some deep theological discovery I have or some radical revelation that I experienced. It's just simply God. Pure and simple. It's a God that loves us. It's a God that calls me His child. It's a God that forgives. It's a God of mercy and grace. It's a God that sought us before we even knew of Him. It's a God that is the author and creator of the Universe. He is my father, my creator, my everything. He is God.
I want to invite you to open Sacred Scripture, read the writings of saints, and dive in to a life of knowing and loving the God that already loves you.
