This is the day I turn my body over to the Lord, Jesus Christ!
What if as we approach the essence of God when we slip into sin?
Does the achievement we made fade away and we must start all over again? Who would ever think that the Lord would forget what his grace means as we seem to fall, not once but many times? Jesus knew before we were created that our common weakness would keep us reaching for his mercy.
If after one breath of new life is sent into our soul the life-line of mercy never loses a grip on our humanity that holds onto the holiness of Christ given freely to keep us close to him.
As we reach the innermost essence of Christ and discover that our weakness is still hanging around as sin does not release its attraction so easily. Our ascending into the reality of divine presence has not closed the door to the sharing of natures beyond any infinite understanding. Each time we find a flaw within us the realization that if the grace that is given to us also allows our sense of perfection to see that only saints were able to understand what it means to never sin again only occurs once we enter heaven.
Remember how David, chosen by God, was given the mantle of perfection because of holiness to obedience fell hard. Adultery, murder, and a weak nature before God now created Psalm 51; “Have mercy on me, God, in your abundant compassion blot out my offense. Wash away my guilt; from my sin cleanse me.” (Ps 51: 3 - 4).
Is this not the sign of repentance? Peter who denied Christ before his crucifixion cried ferociously as he heard the crow and knew he too was guilty of disobedience; yet he was forgiven on the Cross of Calvary. He still was a chosen vessel to redeem the world through the Blood of Christ as was David retaining his posterity to Jesus.
Once any of us finds the path to Christ through humanity to divinity while reaching the essence of allowance to be absorbed beyond just spiritual we have understood the full meaning of Christ’s prayer to the Father before his Passion of; And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me. (Jn 17: 22 - 23).
There is no doubt and never will be that we are saved as we are. The call to be one with God is real and is guaranteed through the Blood of Christ which culminates in us with his unending love.
