The Resurrected Body - Part 3
Defending the Faith – Part 3
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
In my first two articles, I exposed the Islamic attempt to indoctrinate myself and an elderly Catholic priest. I would like to dedicate this article on defending the faith to politics. As you have seen in various news reports, socialism/communism is trying to gain a foothold in the United States. This is not a good idea. Throughout the last century, many Catholics have been persecuted by socialist/communist governments. The persecuted included prelates, nuns, brothers, and seminarians in various foreign countries. It is up to clerics and laity alike to stop the undo influence of socialism/communism in our country.
This is one aspect of politics. Who we vote into office is another form of politics. We must always vote for people who uphold moral law. No law must ever sanction sin. Abortion is a prime example of sanctioning sin. At a show about two weeks ago, I was asked two questions. Are you AARP? I said no. Actually I am AMAC which stands for the Association of Mature American Citizens. If you are conservative, I recommend that you join the organization. It will give conservatives more political clout in the halls of government. The second question that I was asked was, “would I ever vote for a democrat?” I said no. I then spelled out one of the major reason for this. A-B-O-R-T-I-O-N. Democrats support this. I do not. I support adoption. Hopefully, my example should tell everyone not to be afraid to voice our political views to others. After all, liberals do the exact same thing. Look where that has gotten us!!!
While looking for the scripture passages for May 26, 2026, I came upon a website that touched my heart deeply. The nuns in charge of that website were censored because they wanted all abortions to cease. I tried to locate that website today and failed. I empathize greatly with those nuns, for I also was censored from writing anything religious or political on some social media outlets. Both of us were standing for truth and mercy for the child in the womb. Those nine months should always be the safest part of our human existence as human beings. Please stand up for life in all its forms from conception to natural death and vote for politicians who feel the same way. Remember, we must always vote our Catholic conscience or accept the harsh reality of culpability in the sins committed when we fail this task.
There are many moral issues that Catholics confront in daily life. We are to dress ourselves with the armor of Jesus. We must always resist what is immoral or evil. We must always keep ourselves in pristine condition while fighting the good fight of faith. So then at the end of our life on earth, we will hear our Savior say, “Well done, good and trusted servant. Enter into the kingdom which has been prepared for you since the beginning of time.”
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Laus Deo. Deo Gratias. See you in Paradise. Amen.
