Wars and Rumors of War - Part 2
Defending The Faith – Part 4
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
This part of defending the faith is dedicated to getting our youth involved. First, our youth must be highly trained in our Catholic faith. They must know all facets of what makes a Catholic different from all other Christian sects and how to explain and defend our beliefs. Our youth must come to an understanding of Transubstantiation which is one of the Lord's way of being with us until the consummation of the world as He promised. All youth must realize that the True Presence of Himself exists in every tabernacle of all Catholic Churches. We feed on Him for strength of body, mind, soul, and spirit. By certain miracles of the Holy Eucharist, the Church has found that when the Consecrated Host turns to flesh, we actually see the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After the Divine Praises of Benediction in my youth we always recited a small prayer, “May the Heart of Jesus be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection in all the tabernacles of the world even to the end of time.” We should return to that practical prayer.
Second, our youth must be schooled in the Marion way and apparitions. Our youth must understand that Mary, the Mother of God still plays a key role in the Catholic Church today. At the foot of the cross, Jesus made Mary, our mother through John the Apostle. Our youth must be taught to go to Mary. That inspiration will come from the Holy Spirit who leads us to Mary who leads us to Jesus who leads us to the Father. The Marion Apparitions exhort all of us to pray for each other and all humankind. This would exemplify the fact that God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son so that no one would perish, but, that all would be saved through Him.
Third, Catholics need more lay people like the late Charlie Kirk. He personified the message of Jesus on a national grand scale. He opened a dialogue between the Marxist teachings of our school system and the Christian way of life. The Catholic youth must unite and not be fearful of anyone. I was reminiscing about my childhood over the Memorial Day weekend, and my thoughts turned to a hymn we sang back in the 1960's. It is called “An Army of Youth”. When I last looked, the hymn could still be found on the internet. It should become the theme song of Catholic youth in the United States.
Actually, I think this article may be the counter measure to the Marxist philosophy taught in schools and the Islamic prayer time in our streets. Public Rosary recitations would be our Catholic prayer time. We need to bring this nation closer to Jesus and the patroness of our nation, Mary. With this article and my last three written articles, we will put a prayerful stop to anyone trying to rip our country apart. The praying and meditating of the Rosary signifies public unity with the Divine.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Laus Deo. Deo Gratias. See you in Paradise. Amen.
