Another Blessing and one more Answer to a Prayer

These can be the response of those who believe, but to the many who have lost contact with Christ, his Church, and the possible belief that God will come and help our disbelief there becomes a shadow of doubt that covers their baptismal promises; even by their God-parents.  

There is never a threat that God will ignore those who have become lost from their faith.  In fact, as soon as one person that heard the story of Christ and his Passion for all persons, slips away an alarm heard by God arouses his plan to reach that person no matter how far he may have fallen.  The fact is God will not let this person slip for even a second.  His love is so deep with every human that any sign of disobedience out of fear or confusion sends help to be with this sinner and the result will be a constant knocking at his soul to remind him that help is right beside him.  God’s creation of human beings is from a desire to share his eternal existence for his creatures and place his love upon their mortal souls that will know what real love means.

God created everything for man, but man in turn was created to serve and love God and offer all creation back to him:  (CCC 358).

What is it that is about to be created, that enjoys such honor?  It is man - that great and wonderful living creature, more precious in the eyes of God than all other creatures!  For him the heavens and the earth, the sea and all the rest of creation exist.  God attached so much importance to his salvation that he did not spare his own Son for the sake of man.  Nor does he ever cease to work, trying every possible means, until he has raised man up to himself and made him sit at his right hand.  (St. John Chrysotom).

“Father,...you formed man in your own likeness and set him over the whole world to serve you, his creator, and to rule over all creatures.”  (CCC 380).

The consequence of sin and man’s disobedience:  Although it is proper to each individual, original sin does not have the character of a personal fault in any of Adam’s descendants.  It is a deprivation of original holiness and justice, but human nature has not been totally corrupted: it is wounded in the natural powers proper to it; subject to ignorance, suffering, and the dominion of death; and inclined to sin - an inclination to evil that is called “concupiscence.”  Baptism, by imparting the life of Christ’s grace, erases original sin and turns a man back toward God, but the consequences for nature, weakened and inclined to evil, persist in man and summon him to spiritual battle.  (CCC 405).    

Man is the ultimate creation that exemplifies the Majesty and Holiness of God that he would create a species that would return his love and admiration to his creator.  The only requirement God seeks is our belief and trust in the One who created us; beyond even the angels.
