Woe, to my excuses!
Invoking the Sacred Heart of Jesus can be found in many a wonderful way and phrase, honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Many emotions can be attached to our conversations that we have with our Jesus. Sometimes it's in joy, sometimes in sorrow, sometimes pleading, sometimes in weakness, asking for that strength to go on or to understand or simply to resign ourselves to just the Light of His presence.
Today we Honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Set aside in Consecration, Pope Pius IX established the "Sacred Heart" as a Universal celebration in the Catholic calendar in 1856. It originated from visions of dear St Margaret Mary Alacoque. The dedication of the entire month of June later emerged in Honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus since 1969. It is always celebrated on a Friday. The second Friday after "Trinity Sunday". A request that Jesus Christ Himself asked Saint Margaret Mary to honor by receiving communion on that day and making reparation for sins. To repair the indignities for sins in which His Sacred Heart receives during times of exposure on altars. Today, this Feast is assigned to the highest rank of Solemnity. Priests wear white vestments in honor of the Purity and importance of the King of Kings and His Most Sacred Heart. Everywhere in the world the Blessed Sacrament is exposed in honor of our Lord and His Most Precious Sacred Heart. Devotion to Jesus, through His Sacred Heart will bring the soul as close as it can get on earth, till it is finally united in Heaven. Fulfilling the oneness that we were created for, and Thanksgiving and Adoration to The God who never ever gave up on us. Proving to us, that we are His and His we wish to be.
So let us today honor Him. That we honor Him every day of our lives. Let us Thank Him, let us Love Him, let us Give Him our hearts in return to the most Loving of Fathers. There, in His Sacred Heart, together our hearts will beat as one. There we will find safe refuge and Peace, unlike any that will ever be.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, I love you, I honor you and forever will be grateful for you loving me.
