SmartPhone: Weapon of Mass Distraction
The popular prayer app, Hallow, is celebrating America’s birth in a big way with its upcoming challenge. Subscribers of the app on their phones have taken part in many previous prayer challenges that tie into the liturgical seasons.
With America’s 250th Birthday coming up, there will be one to highlight thirteen Catholic Americans' contributions from Charles Carroll to Pope Leo XIV and everyone in between.
Led by Cardinal Emeritus Timothy Dolan, Sister Grace Dominic, and Gary Sinise, the goal of the challenge is not only to “learn about the past, but to be inspired by these examples of courage & service and consider how we can help write the next chapter of our nation's story.”
The challenge will begin on June 22nd and will end on America’s birthday, July 4th.
Those who don’t have a subscription to the prayer app can enjoy a one-month free trial just in time for the start of the prayer challenge.
Catholics Americans have made an impact on American history. Let us take time to learn from the past and continue writing the future that will make America prosperous for God and country.
