What to look for in a wife or husband
Before we get started, please read the previous article, here; On anxiety
“Truly, truly I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world”. (John 16:20-21).
Yeah, I know it seems weird to start an article like that's part of men's mental health month, but, given that I had those verses in mind, and that was an important thing to talk about, I figured I'd start with this. By the way, that is actually about Jesus's crucifixion.
I think a lot of people might think that, just because I don't think being depressed or anxious is something to be ashamed of, it doesn't mean I don't want people to be happy.
I do want y'all to be happy.
But, I also don't want people to think that I think being depressed or anxious is sinful.
God wants you to be happy. This is true. But, this doesn't mean we don't suffer. No, we do.
But, ultimately, our happiness is only going to be when we find it in God.
And yes, I've used this verse before (it's my favorite verse in the Bible), but, I want y'all to remember this verse,
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away”. (Revelation 21:4)
