Little Christs
Jesus bore with me patiently, for He does not unfold everything at once to the soul. He gives His light little by little. – St. Thérèse of Lisieux
God is patient. God is faithful. God is good. For with God, all things are possible. But what is it about us as humans that we cannot seem to grasp the love and the mercy that God is? It is like we understand the judge that He is, so we fear growing closer into his fold. It is not that we are a confused little lamb wondering from the flock and getting lost. In fact, it is more like we aren't even confused at all. Why is it that we fear God's wrath, yet we forget His love?
Yes, we do things absent of what our Heavenly Father intends for us. Yes, we pull away quite often as we chase our humanly desires. But here is the thing about God, He waits. He waits, patiently, lovingly, all while we run away. But there is still time. That is why He made us on earth, for He understands we most certainly will rebel. Thus, the time is the essence of our entire existence. We have time.
We have the time alotted to us to forge our minds and melt our hearts, so that we may finally be reunited with Him. And Jesus, well, He is there to pick us up as we fall and carry us if He has too. Unlike Him, where help had to be forced in carrying His cross, He ensures He is right there beside us as we carry ours. Even if you don't see Him. Even if you don't feel Him. He is there, right there with you on your own journey into your version of Calvary. And little by little, you reach the mountaintop of salvation.
Don’t forget that God loves you, and He is molding you into your true self right now. All it takes is for you to respond to Him.
God Bless you upon your journey.
