Narrow the Path

How narrow the path we must follow

If not our lives are dim and hollow

Though it seems joyous that wide open road

It leads only to the Devil’s abode

How steep and sharp is the right way

It is what you must do our Lord did say

For this earth it not for our resting

It is for learning growing and working

Take heed to the Father’s request

For only He knows truly what’s best

Don’t listen to worldly men

But only to Jesus and pray not to soften

Pray that you conquer the goal

To stay on the right path thus avoiding Hell’s hole

For in doing so will your reward be so great

Living eternally within Heaven’s Gate
