The Luciferian Inversion
“What mysteries we shall one day see unveiled!” -St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Oh how I loathe this life I must live
Hope has disappeared from my veil
I cast my hat down at the brim
covering my eyes from any ascent
No goodness can come from me
For I am nothing more than a dead tree
I drop face first into muddy weeds
For I am nothing but a dead tree
There is no life within this husk of mine
I am but dust speckled throughout, unrefined
For all I am is the clippings of dry dung
What more can I ever offer in being a son?
I am nothing that is all I can say
For maybe I'll be more some day
But before all of that, I am nothing but a dead tree.
