A proclaimer was this man John
A baptizer of us men
He Heralded the Birth of the Living Word
Jesus Christ our Beloved Lord
We honor your birth today
Saint John the Baptist you who announced the coming of the Way
So on this Solemnity
Your intercession is what we ask of thee
Saint John the Baptist pray for us
That we may one day be with you and Jesus
In Heaven eternally
