Four Years Since Dobbs: More Must Be Done

On June 24th, 2022, the Supreme Court struck down the barbaric and demonic Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision of 1973. It allowed abortion on demand and without apology on a cold winter day when seven men in robes forced legal homicide on the most vulnerable in our society, the unborn child. Dobbs correctly held that there is no "right" to abortion found anywhere in the Constitution.

Since the legal ruling by the Supreme Court, nearly half of the nation has restricted abortion. Meanwhile, states like California and New York have allowed for abortion up to birth.

There have been victories on the federal level, such as Mark Houck’s acquittal from the mishandling of justice under the Biden Administration’s dictatorial actions, and just last year, the passage of the Big Beautiful Bill, which cut funding from Planned Parenthood. Yet, the abortion giant is slated to get their funding back in the new fiscal year as the defunding expires on July 4th 2026. We can only hope and pray that they will not be funded again.

Meanwhile, abortion referendums have been surfacing in several states, that it had been used as an ultimate weapon to destroy all pro-life momentum. In an email from Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life, she analyzed this diabolical approach.

“They proved the blueprint in Ohio in 2023, a state with a heartbeat abortion ban already on the books. They ran a constitutional amendment, buried the radical anti-life violence behind soft “freedom” language, and passed it with 56.8% of the vote.” She explained. “In one night, years of pro-life progress were erased. . . and not a single Ohio politician had to own it. Then, in 2024, they showed how powerful this weapon really is. Their anti-life amendments passed in Arizona, Missouri, Montana, and Nevada.”

This fall, the midterm elections will take place, and they can give the abortion lobby control of the House and Senate at the federal and even state. This can’t happen.

Here is just a preview of some of the referendums that will be on the ballot this fall.

Virginia, where the amendment is now locked onto the November ballot. The new governor even signed a bill quietly stripping a longstanding requirement that the amendment be posted at courthouses so voters could read it first.

Virginia’s own Catholic bishops have called it “extreme,” warning it could ERASE the state’s remaining protections for preborn babies and gut its parental consent law. And pro-life attorneys are in court right now fighting the deliberately deceptive wording voters will see;

>>> Nevada, where the abortion amendment that passed in 2024 needs just one more “yes” this November to be sealed into the constitution permanently;

>>> Idaho, one of the most pro-life states in the nation, where the Abortion Lobby went around the legislature to force a measure onto the November ballot that would legalize late-term abortion; and

>>> Missouri, where for once we are on offense, with a measure that could reverse the extreme amendment the Abortion Lobby rammed through by barely 51% in 2024.

Pro-lifers must have boots on the grounds of abortion facilities, communities, halls of capitols, and even Congress to avert more murders of innocent babies.

Expect a breakdown of what is to come during the midterms in key states. By now, we may know what is at stake.

The bottom line is that we need to do more to stop the abortion lobby and all their deceitful plots to make abortion on demand and without apology. 

Pray, take action, and lobby for life. Dobbs was just the beginning, yet it is up to us to continue building a culture of life through our actions, alms, and acts of faith.
