Introductory Prayers

Sign of the Cross: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Apostles’ Creed: I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

For the Virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity, we pray: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. (3 times)

Glory Be: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

First Luminous Mystery: The Baptism of Jesus — Virtue: Openness to the Holy Spirit

Intro: At the Jordan, Jesus is baptized by John, and the heavens open. The Spirit descends like a dove, and the Father proclaims, “This is my beloved Son” (Mt 3:16-17).

This is the moment of Christ’s public identity. Through baptism, He shares in our human need for cleansing and renewal. It is a call to repentance and a sign of the Kingdom’s arrival. We are invited to let the Spirit guide us, to open our hearts to God’s transforming grace.

Reflection & prayer: At the Jordan, Jesus enters the waters and the Spirit descends. Lord, renew my baptismal grace and make me docile to the Holy Spirit.

Second Luminous Mystery: The Wedding at Cana — Virtue: Trust in Mary’s Intercession

Intro: At Cana, Mary tells the servants to do whatever Jesus says. The first miracle—turning water into wine—reveals Christ’s power and joy (Jn 2:1-11).
Mary’s “yes” here is a model of faith: she trusts in Jesus’ word and allows His will to unfold. The miracle points to the abundance of grace and the joy of the Gospel beginning to be shared.

Reflection & prayer: Mary sees the need and points everyone to Jesus. Lord, teach me to trust Mary’s motherly care and to do whatever Christ tells me.

3.       “Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.” — John 2:2

4.       “Mary told Jesus that they had no wine.” — John 2:3

5.       “Jesus said that his hour had not yet come.” — John 2:4

6.       “Mary told the servers to do whatever Jesus told them.” — John 2:5

7.       “Jesus told the servers to fill the jars with water.” — John 2:7

8.       “Jesus told the servers to draw some out.” — John 2:8

9.       “The water had become wine.” — John 2:9

10.     “Jesus’ disciples began to believe in him.” — John 2:11

Third Luminous Mystery: The Proclamation of the Kingdom — Virtue: Conversion

Intro: On the mountain, Jesus teaches the Beatitudes, calling for repentance and belief in the Gospel (Mt 5:1-2; Mk 1:15).
This is the heart of the Kingdom message—poverty, meekness, mercy. It challenges us to turn from self-reliance to dependence on God, and to live the Beatitudes as a way of life.

Reflection & prayer: Jesus announces the Kingdom and calls sinners to repentance. Lord, convert my heart and make me a witness of your mercy.

Fourth Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration — Virtue: Hope

Intro: On a mountain, Jesus’ face shines like the sun, and His garments become white as light (Mt 17:1-2).
The Transfiguration reveals Christ’s divine glory. It is a vision of the fullness of God’s love and truth. It calls us to seek the Lord in prayer and to let His light transform our lives.

Reflection & prayer: Christ reveals his glory before the Passion, strengthening the disciples for the Cross. Lord, let hope in your glory sustain me in every trial.

Fifth Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Eucharist — Virtue: Eucharistic Love

Intro: At the Last Supper, Jesus institutes the Eucharist, saying, “This is my body… this is my blood” (Mt 26:26-28).
The Eucharist is the sacramental heart of the Church, the source of grace and unity. It is the Paschal Mystery made present, inviting us to share in Christ’s sacrifice and to be transformed by His love.

Reflection & prayer: Jesus gives himself as food for eternal life. Lord, deepen my reverence for the Eucharist and make my life a gift of love.

3.       “Jesus broke the bread.” — Matthew 26:26

Grace of the mystery of the Eucharist, come down into my soul and make me full of Love for you and the life giving bread, our mana from heaven.

Concluding Prayers

Hail, Holy Queen:

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us Pray

O God, whose only begotten Son, by his life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Michael: Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Memorare: Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
