Mary, the first rose of Heaven
Isn't that how it is sometimes with our relationship with God? It's easy to forget when things are going good, who really does give us the new day. And in our quest to have it remain calm and good we get wrapped up in the feeling. When everything is calm and good, that really should be our clue that things are not really perfect. We must not forget to call God at all moments of our life. Especially, when things seem smooth riding. We pop our eyes open and jump out of bed without the faintest thought who actually made that happen.
Remembering to immediately give Thanks with a "good morning Jesus", starts our day fittingly and will assure us that we will be able to handle the darts that will surely fly towards us. By surrendering our very first moments of awakeness, those hurdles don't feel so big. Everything is led by our surrender at the very first moment and that is when Peace will enter in. Remember, they say that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. The only Truth that is good and for sure is the thought that God stands beside us at every moment of our lives. Even when we sleep. Waking up to this realization, immediately will help us live that day with total surrender. We will be able to allow God's Providence to be felt in all of our daily tasks. Seeing the goodness of the first break of light, in itself is a gift. A gift from God that needs to be acknowledged with the breaking of that light of the new day.
Don't wait to talk or call on Him just in emergencies or in times of need. He will surely come to our aid, yes it is true, but He wants our love and attention at all times. His phone line is always open! He is always on speed dial. His secretaries, Saints Michael, Raphael and Gabriel, along with all the wonderful Saints and angels of Heaven will make sure He gets our call. They always pick up the phone too! They record our message and hand deliver it to God. Imagine the millions of messages and conversations, all in one day. 1 hour. One moment, that our God listens to! He will surely listen to our woes, but He also wants to hear our joys. That is why He is God. That's why He says, nothing is impossible. He makes the impossible, possible. He smiles when we call Him with our Thanksgiving. Leaving Him with a message of our Love, makes Him smile.
Don't wait to call Him just when you think you really need to. Assuredly, He is there, but just think of how you might gladden Him by just saying hello, or just to Thank Him for loving you, just for no reason at all. Just to tell Him you are His friend also and that you also love Him back.
Oh, and by the way when you have Him on the line, tell Him to tell our Blessed Mother that you say hello and that you love Her also.
