Voter Rosary

These Holy Rosary reflections are intended to provide voters one prayerful way to consider for whom they can most ideally vote  for in good conscience but also to offer prayers for those persons.  When in doubt about a candidate, consult a trusted spiritual person or Catholic source credibly in alignment with the Magisterium.   Remember to also pray for personal virtuous growth in each Mystery..   

 
THE VOTER GUIDE ROSARY

WHO IS FAITHFULLY FOLLOWING IN THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST?

(Many candidates are not Catholic or even Christian, but this guide still applies in principle.)

 
Remember Servants of God act in Truth and Love

Only Persons seeking Holiness can represent us wisely in Office

  Does the candidate…?

THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES (Luke  1:26-28, 39-45; 2:1-20, 22-38,41-52) 

The Annunciation:  say “yes” to God in all of His Commandments?

The Visitation: cherish all individuals in their temporal and eternal well being? 

The Nativity:  live in the spirit of material poverty, avoiding greed in all forms?

The Presentation:  demonstrate an orderly life marked by integrity?

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple:  protect the citizen’s right to worship and live in faith?

 
THE LUMINOUS MYSTERIES (John 1:19-28; 2:1-12; 3:31-36; Mark 9:2-8; John: 6)

The Baptism of Jesus:  resemble John the Baptist in courageous public truth?

The Wedding at Cana:  defend the holiness of Matrimony between a man and woman?

The Proclamation-Kingdom of God: accept that government is subordinate to Divine authority?

The Transfiguration:  seek to grow in sanctity (virtue) and inspire others to do likewise?

The Eucharist:  elevate the Bread of Life as essential?

 
THE SORROWFUL MYSTERIES  (Matthew 26: 36-46; 27: 26-56)

The Agony in the Garden: take accountability for sin, show true contrition, and do penance?

The Scourging:  strive for purity of body, mind, and soul?

The Crowning of Thorns:  serve with humility,  gentleness; all honor to Christ the King?

The Carrying of the Cross:  bear suffering and setbacks with love for all?

The Crucifixion:  accept death to self to ensure and protect God given rights for all?

 
THE GLORIOUS MYSTERIES (Mark 16: 1-8; Acts: 1: 6-12; 2: 1-41; Rev. 12)

The Resurrection:  appear to be growing in faith—increasing knowledge of love and God?

The Ascension:  refrain from false hope, a utopia on Earth, but ensure freedom to gain Heaven?

The Descent of the Holy Spirit:  zealously prioritize Truth: natural law and moral order?

The Assumption of Mary, Mother of God:  recognize and emulate the most immaculate human?

The Coronation of Mary, Mother of God:  honor the Mother of God, the Queen of Life?

The Bride of Christ, the Church,  cannot abide a false, conscience-dead suitor in the name of government that stains her garment by murder (abortion, infanticide, euthanasia), sexual perversion (of all types), violence, rage filled jealousy, collective theft, pandering, false witness, reckless liberality, or fraud that endangers the eternal destiny of millions of individual children of God, many of whom are being denied their freedom to know and do good.

Trust that refusing to vote for those persons in grave spiritual peril 

is an act of love and justice.  Moreover, no one in the state of obstinate or emboldened mortal sin can benefit or bless our citizens and nation.

Yet, pray for them, as they are precious in the sight of God.  Save Souls!
