What's the message?
I hate to admit it, but it's hard for me to trust. Too many times in my life I have carelessly trusted in people and things that just didn't pan out. I resolved it to my hastiness in the moment. Not thinking before I acted and then getting myself into situations that only God can rescue me from. I don't consider myself incapable to make good decisions but my impatience and degree of curiosity has left me many times with the feeling of humility. I ask myself, " why didn't I trust in God?". I try to fix too many things. Only to resolve that there are some things that only God can fix.
I'm stubborn. I used to call it my "survival mode". Only to come to the reality that I acted without first consulting God. The true boss of outcomes that were truly meant to be. But, I overstepped His authority by trusting in my often unknowledgeable self only to find myself on a desert island with no boat in sight. He always comes to my rescue. But not until I've learned the lesson. He lets me struggle with my decisions. And then gently wraps me in His arms like a good Father would. In my departure from self, do I succumb to these arms. Sometimes immediately, sometimes stretching for quite some time.
The lesson of life for me is to trust in God and God alone. It saves heartache and health, immeasurably. My daily prayer for Pride to disintegrate and let Surrender flourish has helped me be at Peace. I am a work in progress. I thank God for His patience with this child of His and I avow most sincerely to trust God and God alone.
July is dedicated to the most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Let us ask Him to cover us with this most Precious Blood. Cover our families. Cover America and the world. To help instill in our hearts "Trust", in Him and Him alone, who is the great Providence and true Peace.
