The Precious Blood of Jesus Chaplet

The Catholic Church dedicates the month of July to the Precious Blood of Jesus.  Below is the chaplet of the Precious Blood of Jesus to pray:

THE FIRST MYSTERY

THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN “In his anguish he prayed with all the greater intensity, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.” (Lk. 22:44)

By the drops of blood from your agony, may Your Precious Blood save souls in Purgatory and protect the dying against the attack of infernal spirits. Amen.

SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR “At that, he released Barabbas to them. Jesus, however, he first had scourged.” (Mt. 27:26)

By the precious wounds on your body and through the pain of the whip that cut into your back and limbs, may the Precious Blood that pours out cure the sick, raise the dead, and protect and seal us. Amen

THE THIRD MYSTERY

THE CROWNING WITH THORNS “They stripped off his clothes and wrapped him in a scarlet military cloak. Weaving a crown out of thorns they fixed it on his head.” (Mt. 27:28-29)

By the precious wound in Your head and through the pain of the thorns which pierced Your crown, may the Precious Blood drip down to cover the foundation of the Catholic Church against the plans of the occult kingdom and evil men. Amen.

THE CRUCIFIXION ON CALVARY “When they came to Skull Place, as it was called, they crucified him there … Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them; they do not know what they are doing.”‘ (Lk. 23:33-34)

By the precious wounds in Your hands and feet and through the pain of the nails which pierced them, may the Precious Blood that pours out save sinners of the whole world and convert many souls. Amen.

The Piercing of the Sacred Side of
Our Lord Jesus

THE PIERCING OF THE SACRED SIDE “One of the soldiers thrust a lance into his side and immediately blood and water flowed out.” (Jn. 19:34)  

By the precious wound from the lance which pierced Your Sacred Side, may the Precious Blood and water that pour out cure the sick, raise the dead, protect us against the plans and the attacks of evil spirits and their agents.. Amen.

Closing Prayers

Almighty and Eternal God, you have appointed your only begotten Son the Redeemer of the world, and willed to be appeased by his Blood. Grant, we beg of you, that we may worthily adore this price of our salvation, and through its power be safeguarded from the evils of this present life, so that we may rejoice in its fruits forever in heaven.
