I'm not religious, I'm spiritual!
On the 250th birthday of the United States of America I am amazed that there are folks in this country that call for Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist Socialism. I mean seriously, communism has proven to be an abject failure in the history of human government.
Look at the former Soviet Union which finally turned back toward democracy. Look at North Korea – the so-called hermit kingdom that denies even the most basic rights to its citizenry. Cuba is a hot mess, and as for China, well the China of today is not Mao’s China. China’s ideological backbone may be hardline communism, but the county looks more capitalistic with every decade (they even have their own “billionaire’s”). And the same goes for Vietnam.
The recent rise of the Social Democrats does not bother me as much as it astounds me, for it is not truly a movement of the people but a movement of the bourgeoisie. That’s right, it’s not the workers that are behind the change, it’s the silver spooned ivy league idealists and power hangry (yes, hangry) politicians who for whatever audacious reason think they can resurrect the Titanic of socialism from the bottom of the ocean and make it even less indestructible.
America is not perfect, by far, but that is to be expected with any human government, especially one that superficially evokes “God” while denying many of his precepts. Still, this is the country so many people WANT to live in, just as it is, because they know from experience that a Republic is the best form of government, regardless of what George Soros and his shadow warriors believe.
Freedom of Speech, even if it is against the current administration, is the American way.
Freedom of Religion, even if it upsets the atheist and the lawless, is the American way.
Freedom of Assembly, Freedom of Movement, Freedom to Work for a good life, Freedom from Lawlessness, Freedom of Democratic Election, and Freedom of THOUGHT are the American way.
And the only thing better than the Freedom that America represents is the Freedom from this world that is guaranteed through King Jesus. Our earthly citizenship is temporary, but those whose citizenship is held in either Heaven or Hell are permanent.
No King, but Jesus!
