Our Lady of Mount Carmel Novena - day 5

     Mount Carmel is a mountain spur into the sea south of Haifa, Israel. The name means "Garden" or "orchard". Always a sacred place and a refuge, the mount has had several pagan deities called Baal. It was a scene of struggle to overthrow the priests of this pagan god. The pagans were overthrown! Never underestimate the power of God! The real God! 

     Our Beloved Mother Mary is Queen under many titles. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of them. Mary has come to many in there pleas for help and She never ever disappoints. Our devotion to Her should not be overlooked when seeking answers or consolation in trials. She is a Mother. Our Mother. She loves us like a good mother would and seeks for All Souls to love Her Son, our Father. She turns no one away.  The more we seek Her, the more She finds us. We are Her children. Her family. Do not doubt in Her purifying power and the strength that was bestowed upon Her at the moment of Her "yes" to God to become His Mother at the Annunciation. She was created by the One True God, specifically for this purpose. To be the Mother of all mankind. To avenge us and protect us, so we can all join Her in Heaven, to one day adore God with Her, and all of the Heavenly Angels and Saints. 

     Let us now pray day 5 of the Sweet Novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. 

     In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen (by the suggestion of John -Paul and Annie we pray today for all those who have died or will die soon) 

   I know death is something to be considered with joy. After all, it's reuniting with you, Lord. But death can be scary too. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, you promised to be especially comforting to those who are dying or who have just died. I beg you to offer them a last opportunity to follow Christ. Appeal to them as a Merciful Mother. Beg our Lord to give them one last chance. Comfort the families of all those who are dying. Ease the fears of those who are on the brink of Heaven and Earth. Pour your Love out on all those who are awaiting their final fate. Please, Mama, remember to our Lord all of my family members and friends who have died. Please bring before Him my other intentions also (State your intentions here).

   Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us!
