The 4 Foundations Of Humility
No it is not on top of the Himalaya mountains in some temple, it is not way across the planet somewhere else, or with a bunch of monks in a temple. You don’t have to travel across the planet or even go to Israel.
It is right in your very own neighborhood, it is The Holy Catholic Apostolic Church. You don’t have to go any further than where you are, and here’s why.
First of all The Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus started through the Peter and the Apostles. So it is Jesus Christ Church there is no other. Protestant churches do not count, they are not actually churches they are just Bible studies. There is plenty of research from the early writings in the first century and so on. You can research this yourself.
Secondly The Catholic Church is the Holy Temple of the living GOD. The Holy Temple of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is no other church that can say this. The Catholic Church in your neighborhood is Holy Ground. Israel likes to make this claim, but that was the old covenant. The Catholic Church is the new covenant and the last one for all eternity.
Thirdly the Catholic Mass is all prayer. From the start of the mass to the end it is one big prayer and offering. An offering and sacrifice to the Heavenly Father and prayer and graces for these who attend. After all it is a Holy temple.
Fourthly and most importantly this is where Heaven meets earth. During the consecration where Jesus Christ enters into the Church through the bread and wine. You have the Father, Son and Holy Spirit right up there on the altar. Also when we receive communion we receive the divine body of our Lord right there in person.
Nowhere on earth can you receive the creator of all creation and all of eternity. The only place this happens is in the Catholic mass and nowhere else. Some Saints throughout the ages have even seen angels on the altar as the consecration is happening. This is where Heaven coms down to earth. The altar is truly a Holy place.
Where else can you receive Heaven in your body that becomes part of you. Absolutely nowhere else.
Mere human word can’t comprehend what really happens at the moment of consecration we can only imagine.
So the next time you go to mass remember you are in the Holiest place on earth. There is no place I would rather be on Sunday morning than in the Holy Temple of the living GOD receiving divinity in my soul.
