Open Arms

What is hidden from those who claim to know all

I’ll tell you what’s truly hidden is quite large not small

It is what the learned have somehow forgot

How to be an innocent unfettered young tot

That the only thing in this life that matters

Is loving wholeheartedly God and your neighbors

Having riches and knowledge is not what our Lord  favors

No doing His Will and not your own pleasures

He wants you completely

He wants you to love and obey

To go onto your knees daily

And to Him to pray

Mathematics literature science philosophy

May make you rich and often worldly

But true happiness is only found with our Heavenly Father

So let Him then with open arms to you gather
