The Lake Of Fire
Submitted by Thomas Stidl
The Lake of Fire referred to all of us in the Book of Revelation is defined as the Second Death. There are two schools of thought on this subject. One school teaches that those souls entering the Lake of Fire will be kept alive and tormented eternally. The other school of thought teaches that those who are forced into the Lake of Fire will be robbed of their life and never to live again. This is referred to as the Second Death. As of this writing, the Lake of Fire does not exist as of yet. How it will be created has not been disclosed by any biblical teaching.
There are multiple theories as to how this Lake of Fire can be created. One theory suggests that God can create the Lake of Fire in the same manor as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. As we all know, all things are possible with God. Another theory suggests that humankind will create the lake. This has been the nightmare-like dream that I have been having lately. In the recent news, our military has ideas or plans of bombing power plants in Iran. Recalling my history and science classes from my early school years, there is a way to create this havoc. If a normal non-nuclear bomb were to fall on an Iranian nuclear power plant, the explosive power of that bomb hitting the nuclear reactor could set of a thermonuclear explosion that would create the same scenario or worse that triggered the bombs dropped on Japan that ended World War II.
More importantly, it could also create a lake of fire and brimstone along with radioactive fallout not seen since the end of World War II. Carrying this further the oil beneath the surface of Iran will keep these fires burning for many years. This would be the reaction to only one demolished reactor. If multiple reactors are hit with bombs, multiple lakes of fire will be created. The Persian civilization will be annihilated. Instead of Islamic Armageddon, Iran's leadership and people will experience Christian Armageddon. It is up to Iran to actually negotiate an end to the war. They cannot win. Let us pray that they will soon see that light and wisely capitulate to U.S. Demands. I fear the opposite will actually happen.
At this moment, a sense of relief has entered my soul after writing this article.
Maybe now, I will be able to get some sound sleep at night instead of waking up very early in a cold sweat.
Until next time, Laus Tibi, Christe. Laus Deo. Deo Gratias. See you in
Paradise. Amen.
