X-Men and Lessons of Morality
It’s been three weeks since America celebrated her 250th birthday. The nation has been a beacon of hope for many who looked for a better future and even the “American Dream”.
As America began to prosper, the enemies from within found ways to embrace ideas that are contrary to what God has created. It has damaged America’s soul. The time for America to heal is now to preserve the intention of what God wanted the beacon of hope to illuminate the world.
There are eight simple proposals to safeguard the idea that America must remain “One Nation Under God”. This will be split into two articles.
Ban Abortion
While Roe v Wade ended legalized abortion nationwide, the scourge is still happening daily. Here’s a trick: we must not rely on elected officials to legislate when they campaign on empty promises and end up becoming sheep instead of lions. Rather, abortion can be made unthinkable if we change hearts and minds on the issue by engaging in dialogue and making those who support the so-called “women’s choice”.
It is and has been a cultural battle that Catholics must continue to be on the offense and not punt on the issue.
Deport All Illegals
Why is the system so messed up, you ask? Our hard-earned money and relentless taxation are jeopardizing ordinary Americans and their ambitions of living the American dream.
Term Limits
Congress.gov shared that the average age for U.S. federal elected officials is 64 years old for Senators and 58 years old for Representatives.
Some of the elected officials have been in office since the Reagan Administration. That means they were in office before I was even born. They’re even old enough to be my great-grandparents.
What we must do is replace those who have been in office for too long with a public servant who can bring about new ideas to move America forward with the intention of putting God at the center of our lives.
End the Federal Reserve
Ron Paul, a retired congressman, has advocated for the end of the Federal Reserve. His bestseller End the Fed lays out his strong criticism of how it has garnered so much power, and he wants it to be abolished.
First created under the Wilson Administration, the Federal Reserve created a central bank system; the “power to create money secretly and manipulate interest rates violates constitutional principles and free-market capitalism.”
He contends that the Fed's expansion of the money supply debases the currency, steals purchasing power from ordinary Americans, and drives hidden inflation.
The time to end it is now. In its place, the retired congressman wants America to embrace Austrian economics. Learn more here
These are just the steppingstones to begin helping America heal from the wounds. There is more to come.
