Two Evangelists

Jeremiah was told he deserved death

That preaching God’s Word he’d breathe his last breath

But his answers to naysayers all

Made their arms drop and shoulders fall

John the Baptist on the other hand

The foreteller of Jesus and lived off the land

Was put in a prison for revealing a sin

He lost his and his life to a ruler who wouldn’t listen

Both now Saints in Heaven

Their life stories for us spiritual leaven

For we too must be willing to be martyred for Jesus

Because He alone is who will judge and save us

For we know that we can never truly die

Our bodies to dirt but our soul’s to the sky

The judgment is on where you are going

Heaven with singing or Hell eternally burning

The choice is yours to make

Good or evil only one can you take

Both offer their own salvation

But I would evangelize God and look to gain Heaven
