Another article about Jesus's divinity

So, I'm sitting in church before Mass (no, I didn't pull out my laptop in Mass, I like to write things down before I type them) begins, and, generally speaking, before Mass, you may find me praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, the rosary, but, more often than not, before Mass, I'll be reading The Bible. Why? “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ”. I've never understood the stereotype “Catholics don't read The Bible”. I do, I'm Catholic, and I have been told many times, including by many priests, to read The Bible. So, this got me thinking: Do we ever just think about how important scripture is? And, so, this go me thinking, too: Do we ever just think about who Jesus is? Well, Jesus is the “Son of God”, (Matthew 26:63-64) God the Son and God incarnate (John 1:1-14).
Consider the following, when Jesus told Lazarus “Come out”, Lazarus lived. Now, Jesus invoked his Father (John 11:41-42), but notice what he didn't do? He didn't say “I invoke the name of my Father”, or “In God's name, rise”! No,
“And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes:and his face was bound about with a napkin.. Jesus saith unto them, loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:43-44).
However, when Jesus's followers performed miracles, they did them IN Jesus's name.
So, I am not going to go through the whole thing (it's worth reading the chapter yourself), but, I will give you this quote, “The Peter said, Silver and gold, I have none; but such as I have give I thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk”. (Acts 3:6).
Why? Because Jesus's name is the name of God. If you know your Old Testament, you'd know Psalm 116:4, “"Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.". You would see what Jesus's followers are thinking, that this name, the one above all names (Philippians 2:9). They believed he was God.
And they're right.
Now, I've written about Jesus's divinity before, and I really need to organize this a little bit better. But, I wanted a little bit of a breather before we got back into Hebrews.
