Why Mary Magdalene Is My Confirmation Saint
If you’re a Catholic, you likely know that attending Sunday (or Saturday evening) Mass is extremely important. Furthermore, something else you probably already know is that missing it, under most circumstances, is considered a grave sin. Also, the same is true for other holy days of obligation.
However, daily Mass is different. This type is not one that Catholics are obligated to attend, but those Masses are still very important and spiritually nourishing. But the unfortunate thing is that many Catholics have trouble going to daily Mass. Much of the time, that is because many of those Masses are held during hours when lots of people are at work or in school. But something that might give a Catholic who wishes to attend daily Mass at their church a bit of hope is that there are some tips they can try out that might help them.
Choose Your Outfit The Night Before
Daily Mass tends to be held very early in the day, so this is something that one must take into consideration if they are planning to go. Furthermore, one way a person can try to make it easier to attend one is by deciding what they are going to wear the night before, and laying it out somewhere.
This is something I have personal experience with, and it does help. In fact, it helps with lots of things we typically do during the early hours of the morning, not just daily Mass. Doing this means spending less time getting dressed before heading out the door.
Learn To Say No
Some of the reasons people have for not being able to make it to daily Mass are things like work and attending classes, which is understandable. However, if those who wish to go find themselves having difficulty with it because of other events that they do not necessarily have to go to, they might want to stop and think about whether that event is something that’s worth skipping Mass for.
And here is the brutal truth: that scenario is one that might show a person that they need to start declining invitations for such events. Furthermore, if the activity they would be missing if they attended daily Mass instead is something that involves their friends or family, they can invite those people to go to Mass with them, or at the very least, they can suggest hanging out some other time.
Remember That You Do Not Necessarily Have To Go Every Day
Going to daily Mass is wonderful, but those who are already busy people might feel a little overwhelmed whenever they are trying to decide how they will add it to their schedules. But something that might relieve some of that anxiety is knowing that if they do decide to give it a shot, they do not have to go every single day. Even just one daily Mass throughout the week is great, and it is a beautiful way for a person to ensure that they spend a little extra time worshipping the Lord and strengthening their bond with Him. Also, once someone decides what day they are going to go, if they know ahead of time, they should mark that down in their calendars.
Not being able to go to daily Mass is understandable. It is difficult for many. However, those who want to do it but find it difficult may have a slightly easier time if they give these tips a try. Additionally, something else that can benefit a person spiritually, whether or not they go to daily Mass, is trying to go to adoration.
