From Darkness into Light; the process of Sin to everlasting Light who is God!

How simple it becomes to use a scientific premise of turning a darkened arena into a brilliance of Mega-watts; turn a switch to control millions of LED bulbs to eliminate a period of emptiness unable to even view your hands.  Science has gone beyond the question of how we might see even the mysteries of light years that encompass our universe.  

When God created everything there was a darkness that existed to human intellect.  In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless wasteland, and darkness covered the abyss, while a mighty wind swept over the waters.  (Gn 1: 1 - 2).

But living in a world that is dark becomes larger than searching for a switch to turn on light; it is a formidable existence that allows something darker than an absence of Mega-watts, it has now opened itself to what is precious to us that has found a deeper emptiness that promises to  open our eyes to holiness.

In the words of Scripture: Not unjustly are nets spread for birds.  This means that a man is justly condemned if, knowing the right way, he heads into the way of darkness.  (Taken from the 18th week in Ordinary Time by a letter attributed to Barnabas).  

It is here that when we find the true manner that God presents to us that we have inherited dominion over everything and until his Son becomes our saving essence against the ways of sin we are required to become the feet and arms of God waiting for the Light to guide our way of holiness;  perfect just as our Father is.  (cf Mt 5: 48).

Consider now the way of light; any man who is bent on reaching his appointed goal must be very careful in all he does.  Now these are the directions that have been given to us for this journey: love your Creator; reverence your Maker; give glory to him who redeemed you when you were dead; be single-minded but rich in spiritual treasure; avoid those who travel down death’s highway; hate whatever is displeasing to God; detest all hypocritical pretense; do not abandon God’s commandments.  (Taken from the letter to Barnabas).

The Light of God that is our salvation can be seen by all; not with human eyesight, but from within our soul that has become the battle-call of following Christ which was created on the first point of the Spirit’s entry into our humanness the moment we answered the call to holiness.
