The Glory of God, How do we Share in the glory of God/
I HAD A REVEALING DREAM ABOUT HEAVEN; it was Shocking!
Eileen Renders
The other night, as I lay sleepy and tired in my bed, I was silently saying “Good night” to Jesus. In my state of dreaminess, I asked Jesus, “What is Heaven really like?” As I fell deeper into sleep, I seemed to move without a sense of gravity or weight. There was no wind or sense of moving, yet I knew that I was traveling.
And soon after, I entered into another atmosphere. I saw people walking together, smiling as a family; their clothing, however, seemed to mimic an error which I had never seen before, or been part of. I continued forward, anxious to see exactly where I was.
In shock, I soon came upon a stable, and it was early evening by the lighting. There, in plain view, I saw the Baby Jesus being held by His beautiful, peaceful Mother Mary. No one there, not even the few animals that surrounded the cradle, looked my way, or seemed to notice me.
I kept slowly walking forward, still not understanding what was happening. Then, I saw a huge Temple; inside was a young 12-year-old boy speaking with spiritual elders. I knew this to be Jesus.
Somehow, I realized that I should not go inside this Temple, as it was not part of my history. Confused, I observed and moved onward. Some distance to my left, I saw a young man in knee-deep water being baptized. I kept moving as I wanted to understand the meaning of my ability to view these events that were part of Jesus’ history, His time on Earth.
I saw Jesus on my way at a table with many people, His Mother beside Him. People were toasting a couple who had just wed. Was this the wedding at Cana, I wondered, when Jesus instituted the sacrament of marriage? I could not understand why I was seeing these events that happened a few thousand years ago.
To my grief, after seeing Jesus walking with His twelve disciples, I fell to my knees when I saw Jesus being crucified! Oh my God! Why would I encounter “this” in heaven?
Jesus told us, “In heaven we do not marry or take a spouse.” However, that does not mean that we cannot choose who we want to spend time with, who we have always loved most. Some of us may do exactly that. The love we enjoy in heaven is not a sensual love; it is a pure and loving spiritual love that reaches far above any earthly type of love.
Then, as I came upon Jesus standing alone, after all of these previous events, He stood gazing at me with love, and I knew that I only wanted to be with Him, the Bridegroom. That acknowledgement and submission to Jesus and for Jesus created an encompassing energy that triggered Jesus to instantly become electrified as He opened His arms and invited me into them as I saw and felt His glory that is ours to enjoy when we choose to be with Him and surrender to His magnificent power and love.
