A Living Hell On Earth

Is what we are experiencing on Earth a part of the purification process, perhaps a warning from God, or could this actually be a part of the End? I have written in the past couple of weeks about Purgatory as our Church depicts it, a form of purification. I have had a twilight dream of heaven after prayer the other night, and now I cannot leave it alone unless I also talk a bit about Hell and the Final Judgement.

I do not believe I am much different than most good people on this planet, God-fearing people on earth, who do not want to live on an earth where children, the sick, and the elderly perish from lack of water or food.

Let’s take a minute to sort of “catch up” on the fires, floods, and wars affecting not just the U.S, but many countries today.

 In nations spanning from West Africa’s Gulf of Guinea coast to East Africa

Southern Europe: Countries such as Spain, France, Greece, and the Balkans have logged well over 1,200 individual fires, charring hundreds of thousands of hectares, following brutal, lingering heat domes. (One hectare equals about 2.47 acres).

Scientists report that global burnt areas, as of mid-year, are near record highs for decades, amplified by severe dry spells and extreme baseline temperatures.

Earth Flooding: South and Southeast Asia: Monsoon rains have triggered severe urban flash flooding and river overflows, notably displacing hundreds of thousands in regions like Assam, India, and low-lying camps in Bangladesh.

Sub-Saharan Africa: Persistent heavy downpours and overflowing river basins have caused destructive flooding in nations spanning from West Africa’s Gulf of Guinea coast to East Africa.

On Another Note: The extremely high temperatures most have been experiencing, including drying up of water supplies, are contributing to many deaths, including in many countries, including lack of food, with other contributing factors such as War.

The Physics: A warmer atmosphere holds roughly 7% to 9% more water vapor for every degree Fahrenheit of temperature rise, turning routine seasonal rains into sudden, destructive deluges.

How Do We Effectively Fight Back? A small sacrifice of our time. PRAYER depends a lot upon numbers. It is difficult for many adults to rise early in the morning, get the children off to School, and get to work on time. Return home in the late afternoon, help the children with homework, prepare a meal, and some are exhausted. THAT IS THE SACRIFICE!

Make the 15- minute rosary with the family gathered together a priority before climbing into bed. The more households that put this priority into action, the sooner we will find Jesus intervening.
