Prayer
Lord, You know our heart’s desire yet call to us to speak our ire.
Not-to-inform Your perfect sight but shape our souls in truth and light.
You know our fears before they rise, yet request we lift them to the skies.
For when we put them in Your hands, our worry learns to trust Your plans.
You know our wounds, our hidden aches, yet want our voice for mercy’s sake.
For prayer becomes the healing breath, that draws us back from inner death.
You know our path, the steps we take, yet urge our virtue to awake.
For when we choose Your will each day, our wandering souls learn how to pray.
You know our love, though faint and small, yet ask we offer You our all.
So let our prayer, though faint and weak, be our “yes” to eternity.
