The waiting game?

     Sometimes a person prays for days, months and even years for an answer to their prayers. Waiting. Waiting for an answer that will lead them to either peace or resolution. God's timing is perfect. The lesson to be learned is all in the "waiting" and continuance of trust that God "is" listening. 

    The"waiting game" is hard. We want the situation to be alleviated from our minds and hearts immediately. We are not a culture of waiting. We want instant response. We want our heavy Hearts to become lifted of any burden, without realizing that it is in our cross, our suffering, that will benefit us the most. No one likes to suffer. Jesus Christ Himself asked His Holy Father to take His cross away from Him. Knowing it was going to be painful and hard. God Himself knew it was going to be painful and hard. But necessary. 

     It is in our crosses, no matter what they are, where we gain our Eternal reward. Suffering, offered to God, in Union with His suffering, which gained the Salvation of every human soul, was rewarded with Paradise. The New Garden of Eden. Heaven. Every trial met with joy is rewarded 100 fold, compared to the neglect of acceptance and resistance of the pain, which merits only more misery and length of suffering. It's hard to suffer, yet, a great accomplishment that lies within each human soul. The circle must keep spinning until one realizes that the trial is meant to teach us a lesson. God is our teacher. He allows all things for the good of our souls. No one likes to see someone in agony, especially our God. He knows though, that when He created us, He created within us, a certain strength that is contained in every human will. 

     The"waiting game" can either be met with love and patience, or with bitterness and scorn. If we choose the latter, we choose despair. If we choose the first, we choose life. Life in Christ Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. 

     Let us bear our crosses joyfully and without fear and resistance. Let us ask with complete surrender to the Teacher, whose apple on His desk, will give us a grade of " A+", because we followed His Will.

     There are many rooms in the mansions in Heaven. Like Phil Wickham sings, "where death is a memory and tears are no more", be homesick for Heaven....
