A Vessel in His Hands

** A Past Meditation **
Written in the past and newly restored.
God is trustworthy.
We are called to place all our hope in Him and to wait patiently.
But patience is not inactive.
It is alive with hope and expectancy.
It trusts that God is working even when He seems silent.
Our confidence remains in Him.
We know He is at work, and we surrender ourselves to His perfect timing.
This is a battle we must fight each day—moment by moment—to keep our hearts faithful.
Why all the waiting?
Perhaps people or circumstances are not yet ready.
Perhaps certain hearts still need His gentle work.
But more importantly, He is exercising us in virtue so that we may grow stronger in Him.
So, while we are waiting on Him, let us also grow in faithfulness.
As St. Padre Pio famously said,
“Pray, hope, and don’t worry.”
How is our prayer?
How is our hope?
How is our trust?
I once heard Mother Angelica offer this simple encouragement:
Keep praying.
Keep working.
Respond to every inspiration.
Have complete trust.
May we persevere in faithful hope until God’s perfect time becomes today’s grace.
A Moment to Reflect:
What are you waiting on God for today?
Have you experienced a time when the Lord seemed silent, only to discover later that He was working all along? How has waiting strengthened your faith, hope, or trust in Him?
I’d love to hear your experience in the comments. May we encourage one another to keep praying, keep hoping, and keep trusting in God’s perfect timing.
